The dink was right in the middle of the fast lane!
Picking up a box he lost off of his trailer! I come off an on ramp, do my checks and move to the middle, then the fast lane. There he is looking like a dear in the headlights. He froze!

I lock them up, with a car beside me and at the last moment I let off and swerve.

What a frickin moron, first he doesn’t fasten his load, then he try’s playing chicken with cars doing 80+mph.

Some people need a brain!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

He was jailed on a $100,000 bond; it was unclear Monday whether he had an attorney.

Probably had to hock every double wide trailer in the family to get up the 10K for the bond..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Ha ha.. Mark you would fit right in here in Cali... EVERYBODY goes from the ramp to the fastlane...LOL I pass them on the inside where there is NO traffic because they all dive for the fastlane.

We have these long, long, looooooooong left-handed sweepers, that meet the interstates with a long, long loooooooong fuel depriving right-hand sweepers.... and that huge, wide margin... maybe 60 feet of white stripes where they begin, so you stilll have maybe a 1/4m til the merge... and people drive like 40 on that, and then turn their signals on, and slow down to merge.

By that time, I am watching people come off the next interchange, 3 miles away, because I pretend that first white stripe is my lane.

DAMNIT PEOPLE! MERGE!!! THERE ARE NO STOP SIGNS ON I-FREEKING-95! AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY! IT'S 70 OUT HERE! THAT MEANS 100 BEFORE THE COP EVEN PUTS DOWN THE COFFEE!!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Whew.

Hopefully that guy isn't the one who made the tractor-trailer jackknife on the 401 out by Port Hope yesterday. The trailer was spread across the concrete barrier between the East and West bound lanes and had traffic backed up for miles. All day to clean that mess up.

Do you think the box had used 914 parts in it, and he froze because you rarely see another teener in Ontario?

When I first started my business I got the contract for the lens holder assemblies for the water cannons at the Bellagio in Vegas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) . I was making a run to the plater with 10 boxes of these assemblies in my Suburban and another 6 tied to the roof (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) . I was headed down 680 at high speed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) because the plater was closing and noticed a glint in the rear view mirror (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . I watched in horror as the 6 boxes of assemblies flew off my roof and spewed sheet metal assemblies across 4 lanes of rush hour traffic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif) . It was a gut-wrenching but strangley beautiful sight. Of course I pulled over and started chasing the few assemblies (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monkeydance.gif) that survived through traffic as they were $150 each.

Buddy of mine was on a family trip...lost some luggage on the freeway. A nice CHP officer got it for him and returned it with a nice fat ticket for failure to secure his load....200 bucks.

Best one I seen was here in town. Guy hauling his riding mower on a trailer didn't have a strap on it and when he took off from the light and made a quick right turn off the it went. A city cop hit it as it slid across traffic, I wonder how much that ticket cost?

Also since the steel mills are near here you will see a steel coil long the road from time to time, yikes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
