Hello everyone,

For the past year I've been using an Hi-Torque IMI-101 starter to turn over my V8 conversion. Has anyone tried anything else?

If it works so well, why change?

Lasted one year. Replacement $299. Looking for something more durable and economical.

They are online for less than 200 bucks and I just ordered mine from Kennedy Eng for $200.

They have a IMI 101 N that is apparently more heavy duty also.

Sure enough! I just checked their website and they're offering a variety of starters. How long ago did you get your IMI-101 from them?

Try turning retarding your ignition a bit.. I've had mine for probably 5 years.
