Figure I'd pose this question to everyone.. Looking back on the history of my car, through the 7 different owners before me, I've found some odd, and fairly cool stuff.

My count to date:
1 In-N-Out Receipt from 1974 found stuffed in wires behind the ash tray
the assorted change.. a quarter from 1952
half smoked Joint in the '76 style EGR service footbox.. apparently that made a good hideaway...
parking ticket receipt from 1975 in the same place as the in-n-out receipt..

So, what else has everyone found in their cars over the years? I just keep finding more stuff, as I tear into the rest of the car..

You think they got so high they forgot where they put it?

Glove compartment full of grass seed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Apparently there were mice at her former home. Hopefully the electrical wiring was left untouched by that furry little f$%.

Not too weird, found a little over a dollar's worth of loose change under the passenger seat, and a couple of tiny toy cars (pix to follow) ...

Found a factory bolt under the sound matting on the drivers side.
Loose change under the seats.
Found insurance card from second owner (I am the fourth) under the arm rest. I also contacted him and found out a lot about the history of my car.

I heard a noise in my first 914 as I was driving down the road. Pulled over to check by the passenger seat what it might be. Turned out it was the ground seen through the hole in the floor under the seat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I'm tearing apart the '75 I bought a few weeks ago. So far I have found:

1. The original "black" Porsche key between the driver's seat and the center arm rest
2. The little surgical clamp pot smokers use
3. Two "Alka Seltzer" packs
4. $0.32 in 1970's change
5. A totally corroded crescent wrench
6. Lots of grunge

This was found in the 912E a few years ago which has the same motor as the 914 so it sort of counts:

A Mass Kit complete with Chalice, Host box, Cruets, candles, stole, Altar, finger towels, wooden crucifix and stand. I purchased the car from a Priest and he said that he kept one in every car just in case he needed to administer Last Rites

When I removed the gas tank to put new ss fuel lines in I
found a packet of aspirin under the tank. Instructions written in German.
A rough morning for "Hans" I guess.

I actually found the PO's credit card when I removed the seats/carpets. I was really considering ordering some new parts before I sent it back to him. Hmmmm..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

A glove box full of a mouse nest with what appeared to be all of the old maintenance receipts, some chewed. Also an old title from 1984. I later found out that was the last year it was registered and it sat in a barn ever since.
