Went to Fry's and bought a 1GB compact flash card for my digital camera. Now I can take over 1000 shots at the GAF next weekend.

My girlfriend and I joined our work buddies at Moon River Brewery for a few 22 oz brews (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) then went home and made some great tacos (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) . Laid down on the sofa and Friday was history! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I got off at noon too (as usual (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) ) and went to my FLAPS to get a CHT for the 2.0. They wanted to give me an 003 for the '74 engine saying it's the same as a bus 2.0. I told them I'd have to pass (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) (that's another thread comin' up).
Got some FI "O" rings and intake pipe boots tho. Went to the Vet with our sick old little kitty. Couldn't find anything wrong so then we came home & took X-rays of her & sent them off to be checked by the specialist. Ate dinner consisting of maccaroni salad & Johnsonville Brats while watching Starsky & Hutch (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Nate & Brad... sorry to hear 'bout what's goin on... bummer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .......b |

Took off from work at about 2pm thinking that I was going to have some time to work on the 914, wife had different ideas.
Ended up digging up my kids swing set to move to a different place in the yard. Were talking 20' 6X6 posts that were buried about 5' in the ground. Lots-o-fun for a friday afternoon. That's OK though I am picking up my 2.0 this morning. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Oh yea and drank beer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |

Got back home and lazed until about 9 or so when my son wanted me to take hime downtown and drop him off at one of the clubs so he could party with some friends. Wish I was 22 again. I took off at lunch Thrusday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)
Worked the honeydo list Friday. The kid & crew got in late last night. We'll make some more points today & then we're goin' fishin' this evening. Gotta do a compression check on the 2.7L sometime in the next few days. The motor doesn't seem to have the snap that it used to....or I'm gettin' jaded. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Got off work at 5:30 - what a day - we are making 4 commercial lawn mowers for a show in less than 3 weeks - still doing some fab work but assembly has started. Gonna be close...
Got home, worked on finishing the programming for the inner fender well liners - almost done. At least the big table is gone from the family room (I had a 36 x 72" table in there to do the layout - can you say pissed off wife!). Went to bed at 11:00, got up mowed the lawn, took down my sons tents. Now I am getting ready to fix the leak I created last weekend on the 914. Apparently I got a valve cover gasket off center when it went back on - little pool of oil under that side, I ony started it to see how well I did on the valve adjust. I did the valve adjust last weekend and after I started her, notice the leak. Have not had time in the last week to get back to it. Now I want to finish the tune up, valves are set, gonna check timing, adjust plug gaps - got a XR700 so no points. I will work on the idle setting last. Then a little clean up of the engine compartment. Finally I willl install the rear valence noe that a factory muffler is installed. M |
