1) picked up my stripped and repainted hood at Peformance Restorations in Mundiline Illinois
2) Pulled rear wheels, checked rear pad clearance (i installed them last weekend) and bleed / purged brake fluid. 3) pulled front tires, bleed brakes / purged fluid, re-set bearings on Drivers side (also new last weekend) 4) re-installed hood (matches very very well) Went on ~ 20 min drive at 0-90mph to test out new tires (Azines), brakes and rotors (914ltd), hood, etc. I LOVE MY CAR MAN! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Now, I may drive up to Ellcart Lake and watch porsche club racing tomorrow. Next AutoX is Sept 19th in Maywood. What are your plans? |

Took off at 2:30 with wife and daughter for SF. Looked at furniture until 5:00. Drove to South Beach Marina near the Giants ballfield and loaded sleeping gear on the boat and carjacked a few cold ones (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) . Went to the ballgame which is 100 yards from my boat and watched the Giants kick ass (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) (18 runs) against Dbacks. Went out to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) eat after the game with wines and back on board for the night at Midnight. Slightly hung over and staying mostly horizontal today.

I quit work at 1:00
1) Fixed-up an electric pump to shoot juice on the windshield. 2) Went to the car registration office to get a temporary license 3) Went to tech inspection. a) slight buble in one of the brake hoses (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) slight leak left front shock absorber c) both engine mounts completely shot d) loud muffler e) a couple of minor electrical gremlins. Spend today (Saturday) fixing these things, but the muffler is still a little loud. This is all on the Ravenna green teener I picked up in Boston last weekend, just ahead of the East Coast Ramble. Hopefully, I will have full license plates on the car within a cpouple of days. I cant hen stick the 6 in ! Michel Richard |

Wanted to leave early Friday but had to finish some tasks to make up for poor performance review i.e. excuse for not giving raises this year.
Erected my fully enclosed car canopy so I can temporarily move junk from my puny garage so I can make room for my puny 914. Got some doors from Jason for a special project. Drooled at his Boxster parts and discussed body design. Besides spending time with my daughter and wife, no special labor day activities just cleaning around the house, yard work, and car maintenance. Maybe I'll get some sleep Monday. |

I decided that flowers are just plants and there's nothing wrong with nice looking plants, right?
Kevin will back me up on that one. |

QUOTE Why are you disconnecting the rear sway bar? Just dial a little more front sway bar in. It will give you a nice balance. I can't dial the front bar, its stock. Brad recommend a while back that I try disconnecting the rear bar and see what that does for me. I feels like the rear of the car is loose. |

Friday: Came home exhausted from a 10 hour day working in the sun and took a nap, then buttoned up the bearings on the trailer for my dad's big fishing trip to Canada.
Saturday: Came home exhausted from a short 8 hour day working in the sun and took another nap, then cleaned out my daily driver to take back to school and put a longer pig-tail connector on the trailer to match my dad's new(er) truck. Currently throwing a few back with the old man (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif), watching LSU loose and Minnesota (my school) kick ass! David |

Went out to eat mexican with my girls and my buddy
Greg who was down from San Jose. (He keeps asking me if I know of anybody in San Jose with a flared dark grey teener that sounds bitchin, seems to have made a deep impression on him) FWD: It's 11:30 pm me and Greg our on a long lonely stretch of country road with me behind the wheel of his 2003 Maxima when this Camaro SS hits warp speed around us. Next thing I know were on his ass at 135 when Camaro starts to pull away.....oh well we tried. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Could of been worse, at least we were'nt in my teener. heh |

well let's see, went to Hooter's Thurday night, I was off Friday, spent all day with my son, hungover... got up at oh... around 8 this morning, opened up the garage, welded in rear swaybar mounts, decided to work on grinding out 4 motor mounts, and had the grinder kick back on me, in an attempt to grind my face off... knocked my safety glasses off my face and a layer of skin off my cheek... end of 914 weekend! I'll spare you guys the gorey pictures. Let's just say shaving will be a challenge for a few days! Tomorrow is beer and BBQ.

The alien is still broken. Waiting for the pump to arrive. This is what I do in my spare time. Me and the wife are building a bunk house at our lake lot. I'm raising the rear 8' of the roof tomorrow for a loft space.

There aren't enough people signed up so it might need to be moved to another day when I can't do it and blah blah blah. So we'll see what happens. Worst case scenario, I take the class next semester.
