I need the Vacuum Elbow for the AAR oe part #:022 133 083 And I also need the Thermal switch: Thank you! I have just recently obtained 4 of the thermo switches, I put them all in a sub zero temperature environment for days. I took them out one at a time and quickly checked for continuity........none of them ever showed any at all. I think they would be good at about 20 below zero, but I will most likely never be in that environment. This said I doubt my cold start valve will ever be used. The cold start valve has battery voltage applied to it during cranking only and the thermo sensor supplies ground to it only when the temp is extremely cold. In light of this I doubt I would never waste the money on the thermo switch or the cold start valve......In addition the AAR source side should be connected to filtered air at the air cleaner and the other side to the cold start valve housing....no elbow required. |

What temp does it take to get continuity between the terminal spade and the body? |

what is the test procedure? According to Bran Anders Site This sensor Part # 311 906 161 C should show continuity between the terminal spade and the body of the sensor @ 21 to 7 deg. F So....put in the freezer section of your refrigerator ( mine maintaines about 5 below zero F.) Keep it in overnight, take it out and very quickly measure for continuity....(it doesn't take long for the temp to come up so you'll have to be quick......This is a reverse thermister in that the resistance goes up as the temp goes up as opposed to, let's say the head temp sensor where resistance goes down as the temp goes up. |
