Not that there's a lot of CWs among us, and Mark won't toot his own horn, but we all oughtta hoist a toast to Marcie and the happy ending to her weeks of CW effort on her 82 911SC. She trophied in the preservation class, not an easy one to do well in. It ain't "wash 'n shine", I'll tell ya .................. The Cap'n

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) I can't tell you how proud I am of Marcie. She worked long & hard on this car. It's her daily (honest!) driver, and we're either the 6th or 9th owners. This car was well treated, and now is getting excellent care. Even if she does take it on the track from time to time. She even had to miss out on the lunch to take a seminar on how to prepare for a concours. Not my choice, but hey, as long as it involves a Porsche, I'm all for it. I have to be honest and say it scares me to drive her car. I just know I'm gonna be the guy the dumbass drunk runs into. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It does go like hell when you push down hard on that right hand pedal! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Congrats. That's really great, particularly since your car is not a trailer queen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Since I'm about as far from a CW as you can get, I don't know what "preservation class" is.. Can someone clue me in?

The class she was in was actually "unrestored". That means the car has to be at least 75% original.
