Ben M. mentioned that he used Subaru 1.8L injectors in his Turbo 914 setup.

Seems like I heard someone say here that our injectors were NLA from Bosch. If need be, can we use Subaru injectors? What else can we use? I know there are alternatives like Megasquirt to replace your entire FI setup, but it would be good to know if there are alternatives by swiping parts from other makes.

Absolutely nothing! Just wondering... although I wonder sometimes about the FI on the '75 Bus! It's just good to have a backup plan when things need fixing.

I used 1984 BMW 533 injectors on my stock 1972 1.7 No real problems noticed.

Ernie,
I don't know if you could get these injectors to work properly with the D-jet injection. I'm using aftermarket EFI and can tune to whichever injectors I choose. D-jet has some flexibility, but probably not enough to do that kind of injector swap easily. These Subaru (Nippon) injectors are actually rated for a lower flow than the standard 914 D-jet injectors. Now that i'm running the turbo I've maxed them out and I'm about to switch back to 2.0 D-jet injectors.

I never got a confirmed part number on this, but some Jags run green bosch injectors that are the exact size and shape of the ours. I took some from the junk yard but never did anything with them.
