I need to have a large fiberglass part shipped from LA to the midwest. Probably 6 feet across by 25 by 15 inches and 25 pounds. Any suggestions on shippers to use.

I have used www.forwardair.com in the past and I have been satisfied.

Have you considered Amtrack or Greyhound? Didn't they used to take parcels?

Yes, your Rustytude! I just bought a fiberglass front bumper and had to have it shipped from FL to CA. The company (Fiberwerks) sent it via Greyhound freight. $40 to ship and they are open on the weekends.

By comparison, I shipped a front fender to a list member by UPS. Weight was next to nothing but because of the size it cost $55.

I've used Greyhound and Amtrac - worked great for me in both cases.
