I came home for lunch and my emergency brake handle has gotten stuck in the engaged position. It looks like the button is not retracting the piece that catches on the toothed piece at the bottom, so I cant get it down.

I need to get this fixed so I can get back to work!

IIRC, unscrew the plastic tip carefully. The spring will shoot out. Once that is done it should release.

Wish I would have known that... I have unbolted the handle and that allowed it to release, now I just have to get it back on.
and now the button works.
