There is a 356 project at Canepa at the link above. several shots into the gallery there are pictures of the engine which appears to be a 4 cylinder ( 4 velocity stacks, 4 spark plugs) but looks to be built more like a 6 cylinder 911 engine (i.e. cam/timing covers)

Does anyone know more about this engine?

Yep it's a polo motor.
Cost of admission to the club is about $30k (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

They usually have 8 plugs, twin plugged 4-cyl.

Local 356 guy has one in his speedster, you can read about it in the current issue of Excellence.
