For Sale Racing 914 901 Trans with GT TBD Limited Slip Differential
$2500 FIRM plus shipping or local pickup. Prefer local pickup but if you want it shipped you figure out shipping. The trans measures 13Hx18Wx26L and weighs 90 pounds. My zip code is 92677 There are threads in the vendor section that suggest bolting it to a board to protect the mainshaft and either ship it Greyhound or Fedex. Professionally built by Otto's in Venice Beach Otto charged $8,000 to build trans and install in car with external cooler. Plumbed for external oil cooler, but can be capped for street use. Does not include hoses, puke bottle, external cooler or electric pump. The trans has stock gears. The trans only has 9,162 miles since overhaul. These are babied street miles, except for two auto-crosses and one time at Streets of Willow. I always babied first gear or started off in second. I am upgrading to a 916 trans, so I no longer need this transmission. Trans has cutout for 3.2 or 3.6 DME sensors. Here are the list of the parts used in the overhaul: -GT TBD LSD $1495 Torque biased limited slips are perfect for autocross and there are no disc's to wear out. -5 synchros $304.75 -2 Dog Teeth $244.90 -1 2nd/3rd slyder $223.95 -1 Aluminum heavy duty intermediate plate $469.98 -2 Intermediate plate bearings $388.90 -7 Welded Trans studs (prevents rear bolts from backing out during hard use) Trans runs and shifts great. I just wasn't happy with the low gears with my 3.2 on the street. However the gearing was perfect at Streets of Willow and auto-crossing. |
