found out today from my school's auto shop that the rear springs that came with my 14 were cut stock springs...any suggestions on some aftermarket springs that ride about an inch lower?

Stock is 100lb. Most people use 140lb, for a tighter street ride, and 180lb. for autocross. I went with 165lb progressive, and love the feel of the road. Go to Pelican Parts. Don't think they ride any lower. Would that effect shock travel? Better to go with a lower profile tire maybe.

Correction the 100lb springs will be around the same height. The rest will lower the car.

factory springs were never 100 lbs/in

even the 914.6 rate was around 60 lbs/in; the 914.4 ran a shade over 50 lbs/in

the stiff 914/6 GT springs were 90 lbs/in.

these cars came from the factory A LOT softer than most people think.

check it out.

Rich is right.

I have 125's on my street car with Koni yellows and adjustable perches and it rides nice, good balance with the stock torsion bars in the front. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Ground Control (http://www.ground-control.com/) will sell you a set of Eibach coilovers for the rear and also adjustable perches. That's what's on my car.

I am running l75lb springs.

Fiid.

I got my springs (165 porgressive) from Troutman as well and am very happy with them. I also got cross-drilled brake rotors from them as well although I'm not sure why except they look cool.
Cheers, Elliot
