The rears are American Racing.
They will build them with custom backspace and bolt pattern. |

i did something kind of sneaky. i had some 69 912 struts left over from my son's 912 after we put SC stuff on it. so I used them with some 912 hubs. then i bolted stock 914 rotors on the 912 hubs. that combo puts the rotor in the correct position for the calipers. you have to use the hubs for non-vented rotor for it to work out. the calipers are 320i BMW that I got off the web. the a-arms are 912 so i used 911 21mm springs and 911 spring adjusters since i used an SC aluminum suspension bar. i was going to use 912 rotors but they are a little larger in diameter (i was going to cut them down) and a little thicker (used ones are the same thickness as fresh 914) but i ran out of time to turn down the OD and went with the 914 rotors. just tried to use parts i had laying around the place. You could have just used the 912 calipers and 912 rotors...calipers are the same bore size as the BMW 320 and rotors are tad larger. |
