For 1970 & '71 MYs the adjustable footrest is tethered to a "ring"(?) that attaches somewhere near the passenger side speaker enclosure.
Can anyone post a good pic of the attachment point, the "ring", and tell me how it is fastened? I recently realized that my attachment ring had been missing even before the refurbishing began in 2006! I haven't a clue as to how and when it vanished. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) And if anyone has the hardware, I'm in need of that too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hands.gif) Paul |

Paul,
If the pix in Don's link above aren't enough info for your needs, then shoot me a PM & I can shoot whatever you need whenever I go to help my buddy detail his red 71 914/4 (no date set yet TBD). IIRC his is the same deal as shown at the link, but it's been awhile since he had it in his car, since he stored it away to avoid damage several years ago. Cheers, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Tom /////// |
