For those of you looking for engine candidates to do a -6 conversion, here is one to think about (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)
My '94 Subaru SVX was rear ended two weeks ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Insurance totals the car, but mechanically it is still in excellent shape, and it is for sale. At the heart is a Subaru EJ33, 3.3L flat 6. The car only had 137k miles on it at the time of the accident. A full vehicle description is in the 'misc' classifieds, so please don't shoot at me for cross-posting (Seanery said it was OK!!) |

automatic or stick?
this would make for a nice engine and transmission swap...if the car is automatic, that could be a big advantage for some just think, no adapter plate for the engine, just need to figure out how to do the axles (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) |

It is a front-wheel drive automatic (4spd). The transmission is not quite one year old, and has about 12k miles on it. Works perfectly.

QUOTE It is a front-wheel drive automatic (4spd). too bad you are so far away, i'm sure we could find someone local that would want to do that swap...I'd even offer to help and give a deep discount on machined parts for swap (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) |

Despite the collision damage, the car is still road worthy. If someone were to be coming out for FFC and wanted to drive it back home, wherever that may be....
