Nope, traditional acid dipping. Then we sanded it down, and treated the entire chassis with some chemicals to kill any sufrace oxidation and prevent any in the future while all of the metal work is being done. Once we are done with fabrication, there will be no need to sand or prep anything. Simply clean, and paint. |

Nice! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)
Looks like you got a pretty solid chassis to start with. Always a lot less work that way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

How can something so simple be so beautiful?
Where's it headed? HSR? HSR west? |

wow, looks sharp!
so you took out the center tunnel, and cross brace so it could be acid dipped. Are these pieces going back in? Also, how'd you deal with the heater hoses in the longs? Looks brand new. |

Looks like the longs may have been cut apart and welded back on. Is that how you did it? Zach |

The owner of the car runs with HSR primarily from my understanding.
The body work is just fiberglass GT flared fenders and quarters. The longs were gutted prior to dipping for obvious reasons, and the tunnel will not be going back in. There is/was some rust up in the front bumper mount areas, and near the bolt plate for the door striker, but it's solid where it matters. |

Will you rebuild/replace the doorjambs with steel or fiberglass?
