I have a pair of blistens from an '81 911 that I want to install on my 914. I have the 911 a-arms as well, but my 914 arms are in better shape which brings me to my question:
Will 911 ball joints (911-341-049-05-M69), lock plate, nuts etc., play nicely with my 914 a-arms? Thanks in advance for answers. peace, Chuck |

I have 1979 911 Bilstein struts in my 914 A-arms with no problems. The PO replaced the ball joints right before I bought it, according to him, with Bilstein specific 911 units. I never had to double-checked 'em so I don't have the numbers.
The only implication otherwise is that you have to use 914 torsion bars instead of 911's. No problem there either. I'm on my 3rd set of torsion bars dialing in two conversions in this car. I like the Bilstein sport inserts. |
