Did Porsche ever put a quartz clock in a 914? On the dial my clock says VDO KIENZLE. This guy has one that says VDO QUARZ ZEIT. Is it a VDO replacement?

The Kinzale clock was used in bmw tii's 72 - 73, in 74 they switched to a clock that had a bmw logo. None of the bmw clocks were quartz. have a quartz vdo if you want to trade.

I don't know where you're at in California. I got my VDO oil pressure gauge from a place in N. Hollywood that only sells gauges. Can't remember the name but I can try to find it if you like. A new clock will run you about $100. And, I don't think they make it the right size anymore. Smaller, they do make an adapter ring to fit it in your console though. Best is to find one on, I hate to say it, ebay. Go with a quartz movement the others are not as reliable and don't keep time as well.
