is the model-car shown below actually modeled after a real Race-Car and if so, who drove it and when?

Jägermeister and machinery don't mix too well, even tho i have AFLAC, I'm not too interested in collecting money from getting a finger or 2 caught in the lathe (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Have you spoken to the owner of the orange Jägermeister car that is local?

Ask the drivers of our local Jag/GT on Sat.

Nancy Bishop or Paul Siedal-Smith I think.

Maybe it's a "what if" model?? It has Garretson Enterprises decal on the sail and Carson Body Works, Palo Alto on the doors. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

as far as I know, this model was sold via eBay just a few days ago
if I remember correctly, it was described as a PIT (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I would say the car is the Automotion/Garretson autox car. Same body, flares and wing.

But I've never known it to have that paint job.

And I didn't know someone made a model of it.

Where is the real car now? Anyone know.

Another famous missing 914.

I thought all the Jagermeister cars were Orange.
However, I have looked that shade of blue after too much Jager the night before. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Jagermeister Racing Info & Models here

The link above says Max Moritz racing ran the 934 & 934 Jagermeister liveried cars in 1976. That would probably be a good place to start your research. I don't know if anyone from there is still around or not.

but what I can not understand about the Jagermeister car is that not one picture exsists of it that I have found,

today is your lucky day!

this is a pic of the original "77" Jägermeister car at the track ...
as trekkor mentioned, our very own club-members Nancy & Paul have a Replica of that car that they drive at the local bay-area PCA events ...

here's the rundown on the original car:

- this is the ex-Max-Moritz-Auto (Quist/Göring/Krumm) from 1971

- 72-73 run by Schimpf (picture is from that period)
note that the targabar, roof and windshieldframe were "condagrün " at the time!

- 73+ Laub/Mohr ran the car under the original Max-Moritz color "condagrün"
Laub then sold the car to the USA. current location unknown.

- VIN: 914 143 0178

Maybe helpful for research:
Klaus Moritz is the boss of a Porsche dealer in Reutlingen, Germany.
There it says "Max Moritz Sportscars Ltd."

Porsche Center Reutlingen

The text says "Our name is an obligation" (maybe a poor translation (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

So, I'm sure that Klaus Moritz is the son of Max Moritz, and maybe he has useful infos ...
