So getting ready to hang the HEs and one of Ben's pea-shooter (GT3?) mufflers. Is the only support for the muffler the hanger at the end of the trannie, or should it be supported additionally?

Hi Lars, Hanger at the rear of the trans and hooks to the inside bolt of the header/muffler . That's all you get. Make sure you install the oil lines before you hang the exhaust. |

I've been communicating with Ben about the GT Mount for the GT3 (pea shooter) muffler. Does anyone have pictures of the mount in use?

I've been communicating with Ben about the GT Mount for the GT3 (pea shooter) muffler. Does anyone have pictures of the mount in use? I don't have a pic of it mounted because I removed mine to measure it so Ben could make some more. But it lets you mount the muffler like a 911 with metal straps around the body and the weight of the muffler is supported at the middle of the muffler, not at the mounting flanges. To me it made sense and worked well. |
