Nah, we couldn't hold out until 9/14.

Marrying your best friend of 17 years is a very good thing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Chasing her for 15 of those years, and then having her come to you after having given up isn't half bad either!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Had to share.

Hooray! COngrats! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I was single up until 38 - and VERY good at it. My life was very simple then:
1. traveling with the band
2. messing with cars

and -most importantly-

3. a day job that gave me the flexibility to focus on doing 1 and 2.

Litterally had the perfect life. I "dated" here and there - but never under the premise of it being long term - "who needs all that crap".

Then I met Amy. The receptionist at our office introduced us at work. Afterwards I went back to my office, sat down and said "this could be a problem....". Ha!
I remember it SO clearly - I even had a witness (who still gives me greif about it to this day).

Married 7 years with two perfect little monsters - er, I mean girls.

That other lifestyle is dead and gone. I wont lie, sometimes I miss it a bit - but then I walk into the house after work..... and it everything just feels right.

Best wishes for a long and happy life together!!

Awesome, congratulations!

My wife and I will be celebrating our 30th this month! She is the perfect teener wife:

She doesn't want to drive my teener.
She lets me keep my teener in the garage while her car is outside.
She doesn't doesn't mind me spending money on my teener!

No, you can't have her! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Mine's better.

This November will be 24 years of marriage for us, and 27 years together.

I met her at an Autocross and she already had HER 914.
She helped me build my 914.
She only drives my 914 when her's is not running.
She will get out in the garage and help me fix both 914s.
She doesn't mind me spending money on my 914, provided I spend money on her 914 too.
She wants 914 parts for Christmas and her birthday.
She helped get a house with room in the garage for both 914s.

The only downsides... she knows enough about 914s to actually have a knowledgeable opinion, and she can always out drive me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving-girl.gif)

Plus, she has a smiley named after her... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/betty914.jpg)

No, you can't have her. Good luck finding one like her!
