I think it is the same but I have been wrong before! I got rid of my front bracket 39 years ago because our state doesn't require a front tag. I did some research maybe this link will help.

They are different....at least for the early steel bumpers.
The front one has "stand-offs" to give the correct angle. The rear just has flat tabs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) SW |

i have a front then. The holes for it dont line up for th rear. I need a rear then

For the front I just used a Dorman plastic square insert from my FLAPS I redrilled 2 holes in my plate. Cost all of $1.99 and looks fine. I can see how this would work. Used to be Controller for Dorman, and I KNOW the parts......though many of them are junk (Chinese). |
