So about to put the car away for another season.
Years ago I was told to fill the gas tank and add stabilizer. The reason was that the tank would not rust. What does everyone else do?

my car sits outside all winter (it's raining on it right now) so i just take it for a drive whenever it's clear ...

Nice Andy, to bad we don't all have the luxury of the Cali weather, but at least we don't have to live with all those wackos (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yes fill the tank, stabalizer if you want.

I used to run commercial fishing boats, empty tanks that sit for months can be bad. Nothing like having your fuel filters clog and engine die in some nice 20' breaking waves.

If you plan on running it every 3-4 weeks or so, I would just leave a little amount of gas in it. Run out the old gas and replace it with new each time.
