Removed the trim when I decided to do a backyard re-spray in 1990 and today it went back on. What a fiddly bastard of job that was especially with the oil tank in the way.

Installed my lame attempt at a GT engine lid and replaced the vinyl on the basket handle while I was at it.

I had to think a little bit before I understood what you were referring to.
Calling it a basket handle, while an appropriate description, is a term I'd never heard in reference to the targa bar.

I heard that before since it is said a 914 looks like a picnic basket with lids on both ends.
