(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) We now ban all 914's from leaving California. Just can't let you guys take them all... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Even though I'm not looking for another right now, still hate to hear of them leaving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) |

Very nice--my favorite color too! What color is your interior? Is it FI or carbed? I've seen pics of that one on the world before, but can't remember when. Maybe Tom posted them on the White 914 thread (?)

Great looking 1973 2.0. Only one question, what are you doing in the house posting on this forum? Get out there and drive that Porsche!
-Yea, funny story, about an hour after the car arrived, the guys came to "mudjack" the driveway where it enter's the garage. I had to pull it in and close the doors, and wait till afer work today! We now ban all 914's from leaving California. Just can't let you guys take them all... - No, I should be applauded, cause the last two I tried to buy, were shipped off to Europe, we need to keep em in the states if they were delivered here! WOW!! pretty car dude. did it belong to a world member? any chance it came from Alta Loma? just curious where that sexy girl was hiding... - As far as I've been able to determine, it was a Palm Springs car, I bought it from a Samba member near LA. Its unrestored, original paint/interior/engine..everytihng except exhaust it appears. Still trying to dig up more history... Very nice--my favorite color too! What color is your interior? Is it FI or carbed? I've seen pics of that one on the world before, but can't remember when. Maybe Tom posted them on the White 914 thread -Yea, I've had almost exclusily white cars, It really checked all the boxes for me, White, 73/74 2.0L, and as Original as possible. Black Interior. Yes, it has the original FI, seems to start and run really well, but I only put about 50 yards on the car so far (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Here's a link from the sellers Flicker account that shows lots more details: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31665730@N07/...57628256393873/ Thanks for the kind words and welcome, (I'll have to work on the whole quoting thing....) Thanks all, I like being part of the club! beach chairs, refreshments and all my neighbors saying "what is it?" I'm happy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Now I've got it registered, and titled... Hopefully you hung onto those CA Blue & Gold plates on which it was originally registered - they're "gold" for future use or buyers. Keep that Californy Beauty out of the snow & salt back there! Cheers! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Tom /////// |

Get looking pictures. Very little rust. I noticed the speaker boxes are missing in the pictures. Did you get them in the deal? Looks like the original radio too. What brand is it?

Welcome and nice car! I have a 73 2.0 and love it. I only take mine out when it is a nice day, shine it up and the wife and I will then go all the way to Dairy Queen! Just kidding, I go on tours and enjoy them a lot. Good luck with the things you are going to do and post pics so we can see what you've done!

Yes, the seller put the speakers/grills back in and the radio works. I'm assuming the radio is original, but I'll check out what brand/model it is. |

beach chairs, refreshments and all my neighbors saying "what is it?" I'm happy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) We should totally have a meet in your driveway. Think what the neighbors will say when you've got 15 or 20 'teeners crawling all over the neighborhood! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) |
