My sixxer that I am putting back together is missing the ignition switch. Would a switch from a similar year 911 work or is the switch from the 914-6 different.?

The swtich itself has been suspersceded to a 964 part number. Still available from the dealer for like $30 bucks I think (at least when I bought mine a couple months ago).

Actually, I was missing the whole thing...$750 at Auto Atlanta! I scrounged through the pole barn one more time...and...jackpot! I found it laying in a box of unrelated junk, and the key was in the lock. Damn, how lucky can you get! Need the trim ring and such, but those can be found, I hope. Now on to the other thousand and one things to do.
