Can I use a standard beetle contact horn contact/directional cancel ring? They seem to be cheaper & more available. Will be used on a momo hub. I destroyed the one that's on the hub now. Working too long, too fast, etc. Stupid mistake.

It probably will not just bolt up and work. It is possible that it could be made to work. I've used the stock parts so far.
