Email notifications only show the topic title. Could we also get the topic description. For example I get emails like this:
QUOTE anthony, cmolina has just posted a new topic entitled "Needle in a hay stack" in forum "FS/WANTED: 914 Parts". The topic can be found here: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act...ST&f=18&t=19311 Frequently the topic title isn't descriptive enough. It would be great if the email said: "Needle in a hay stack, Hold-downs for floor/pedal board" Thanks! |

I found the file where the text is kept and there's a code that I need to understand in order to modify as requested. Still looking.

I concur with anthony's comment on including the topic in the email when you subscribe to have the fourm postings sent. I requested this last year but nothing has happened. In talking to others, I know of at least 10 people who do not keep up with the 914club forums any longer because you have to open every single one of them to find out what they are about. This also leaves no way to organize them using your email tools.
I am currently a member of about 5 lists and have subscribed to 10-15 over the years. This is the only one that comes through this way. The bottom line is that there would be much more activity if it were easier to review the topics and respond. |
