Hi 914 Gurus,
I'm almost done with getting my old 914 back up and running after 15 years in the garage. During the engine removal, I noticed that the right CV axel had been busted before it was parked. Looks like the boot was split along with one of the bearings. I've been looking at all the normal parts dealers and although I found the CV axel listed on their websites, most don't know when or if those reman cores will be available. Besides eBay, does anyone know of another supplier that might have an axel core for sale? I've tried Napa, O'Reileys, AutoZone, KoPerformance, Auto Parts Warehouse. Or perhaps know of a local (as in North Texas Dallas area) shop that might rebuild it? As always, thanks! Peter |
