My 73 has taken to the clutch sticking upon starting after a few hours setting and a little grinding untill it warms up. I took off the turn pulley and cleaned lots of crud out, but that's not it. What's next?

Or.. the pressure plate is failing. Either way it is coming apart (take it apart before you toast the tranny)
