I know what prize you would have had your eye on at the FFC! One of the prizes donated was a bottle of 'Maker's Mark'. Not a big Scotch drinker myself, but that stuff is smoooooth!

Never drank a beer I didn't like, but...Budlight, or Becks (only a dollar more than budlight). Gotta save the bucks for car parts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) (not necessarily in that order (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

Kevin

Makers Mark? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) That stuff is good for stripping paint. Gentleman Jack makes that stuff look sad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

I don't know "Jack" [Gentlemen], but I'll bet "Sammy" can kick Jacks ass (or at least you think you can after some Cabo Wabo)! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

p.s. - also makes for some great paint stripper....drink half the bottle, align yourself on the desired area to be stripped (helps if you close one eye), and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

i don't drink much. well, i should say i "can't" drink much because a few ounces and i'm done. but my favorite is red wine; tastes great and is like magic to your body. currently we're drinking a spanish wine, borsao campo de borja.

can't say i enjoy beer, maybe i haven't had the "right kind" yet.

absinthe.... don't even get me started (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

there's no commercially available psychotropic absinthe almost anywhere in the world. i've only had the "real" stuff in spain -- where you can no longer legally get it thujone-active. you can still legally get it in cuba, and the czech republic, i believe. which is probably for the best, as people have done some pretty crazy shit under its influence.

Damn, I was hoping to try that at least once. Now I have to go to CUBA! I thought you could still find it in Mexico. I guess the best you can get there is mescal, or peyote.

I don't drink much.....I feel bad enuff in the morning without any chemical help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .....such is the price of getting old.

Part of the problem is nowdays I start to get a little buzz then go right to the hangover.

The last time I got shiitfaced was at my daughter's first wedding.....a train wreck in progress.....that cost me about 10K & the marriage lasted bout 4 months....the hangover was the best part of that clusterf*** (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
The good news is she married herself a good guy (didn't cost me anything, either) and gave me some grandkids.

All I need now is Coke & coffee to keep me awake.
I could use a nap.

Hmm, I do enjoy a drink on occasion. Yager Bombs are good (I'll be having a few of those at a Halloween party tonight) I also like scotch, almost all beers, gin and tonic, and rye and ginger. Ahh hell, I drink pretty much anything. Something to try with a cheap beer; pour an ounce or two of Barardi Lemon into it. Doubles the potency of the beer, and makes it taste like a squeeze of lemon was added. Good stuff! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I use to drink Gin & Tonic in my youth....one day I ran out of Tonic and used Coke instead......that was 35 years ago and have been drinking Gin & Coke ever since. I go into bars and resturants and when I order it I get funny looks or they recognize the drink rather than my face.

The drink itself tastes like pine cones, but the gins gets me drunk and the coke/caffeine keeps me awake.

Anybody tried absenth? I hear it's illegal in the US. What's it like?

the original stuff used to be illegal was distilled from the toxic herb wormwood and flavored with anise (black licorice flavor). Purported to pack a narcotic-like punch...but you can get the non-toxic modern kind in the US now.
