if we did this, who would go? its a mighty long road. pasadena to basically cajon pass.

pretty hardcore if we did this! great photo spots, etc. see how many clubbers from all over we could get on this tour. end for a meal and BS session (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Any date is fine with me; after owning this car since 1983, it would be nice to meet-up with another 914 owner.

I'am in! Isn't there a concern that there may be snow on the roads even now? Or, is this road kept relatively clear? I would think sooner than later before the ski birds hit the slopes over thanksgiving weekend. What about next Sunday? Just a bunch of 914's meeting at the entrance to the crest in La Canada and running till it ends just before the Cajon Pass? That is my two cents.

California Highway Conditions sr2

No snow, but rock slides might prevent a complete trip through there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I have no preference on which side we start on. Pasadena is closer to me, so I could be there earlier. If we start in El Cajon and end in Pasadena, I'll be just a few minutes from home, so that also works for me.

I'll check with the wife to make sure she doesn't have anything planned for that day.

I think sooner would be better than later. Another good storm could dump a bunch of white stuff on our plans. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Don't do it too early in the day. This time of year, anything before noon you'll run into black ice. Definitely start from Pasadena. If I remember correctly that will keep you on the cliff side most of the time. If you drive the mountainside lane you have to watch out for sand. Ask me how I know.

Ortega Highway sounds cool. Looks that rock slide on Angeles Crest is still there, anyway.

There are forecasts for rain this weekend for my zip code. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
