How much play do you want in the pedal before it engages? Or, how tight is too tight when adjusting the cable? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif)

I heard about a half inch pull back on the clutch pedal... could be wrong.

Less than an inch when pulling back/up on the pedal. But adjust it to where you like it. Some people like it on the floor, some people like it up in the air.

I adjust mine so that it fully engages when the pedal is not depressed. I know this sounds a little obvious. You want it to be engaged fully when up so that the clutch doesn't slip and fully disengages so that you don't grind into reverse. Adjust it where you like in between.

How about at the bottom end? The stop on the pedal board is supposed to keep the cable from stretching but my stop doesn't adjust enough to do that. I try to not push all the way to the stop. Anyone else have this problem?
