Very nice Steve. Better than Christmas hey. Where did you order from and how much? Eric, I got it from ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130787793211?ssPag...984.m1497.l2649 The seller is in Brooklyn, the auction closed the weekend Sandy hit, and I was not confident that I would even get it. I got an email from Ebay that said it would be delayed. But it arrived yesterday, even shipping thru Staten Island. No complaints about the turnaround or the look and quality of the product. The real test will be the installation, and seeing how tightly it fits, I'm hoping it won't be saggy or loose, but won't know until I do it. I'll post pictures when its done. Turk |

The materials look to be spot-on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) Nice find.
Surely you will show us pics of the finished project. Paul |

I used the same vendors covers on my 924 seats and the are perfect. I used ladies pantyhose to cover the foam so the covers will slide rather than stick on the foam. I loved the seats so much I put them in my 914 and they are the best covers I ever bought. Take your time and go slow with the covers and they will look great !

Hopefully, it works out for you, but my btdt was that kits you buy online are low quality material and construction. Also, over time, cushions get compressed and deteriorate and stink. I had a shop reupholster seats using german vinyl, which is thicker. They also double stitched the seams and put in new foam for a snug fit. Not cheap, but bomb-proof.

Hey, good to see it may be good stuff. I got a kit from Perf Prod. I'm not a textiles guy, so when I received it, it looked good to me. When I brought it to shop to install it they pooh-poohed the whole thing - and for good reason.

Good to hear, and I like the pantyhose idea, I saw that on Wheeler Dealers as well. The weather has been so nice the last couple of days, its too much fun driving rather than taking everything apart. The weather will take a turn for the colder next week, and I'll probably get started on them then. I'll try and take lots of pictures as I progress. Turk |

So now that you've finished the job (looks great BTW), what's your feeling of the material provided? I've seen some that look cheap and thin, but that's looking fairly sturdy.

So now that you've finished the job (looks great BTW), what's your feeling of the material provided? I've seen some that look cheap and thin, but that's looking fairly sturdy. I can recommend with confidence the seat cover vendor from ebay: http://myworld.ebay.com/aoenterpreses/&...984.m1497.l2754 The vinyl was an exact match to the original seat fabric, and was in fact stamped with "Made in Germany". I felt the fit was excellent (unlike the center pad cover I purchased from a different vendor), and the workmanship was very good. I added some extra foam to only one of the headrests, which I think speaks more to the original foam shrinking or compacting at different rates. I don't think they make back pad covers or even center pad covers, so they may not be a one stop shop if someone needed everything. I haven't seen anyone come close to thier price for the seat covers. Turk |
