I negotiated a group rate and have 15 rooms set up to start, The rate will be $99 a night, it's not a Motel 6, but not the W, but a good older hotel that will have a parking lot for us to "meet" in and they're ok with us BBQ'n in the parking lot.
There's not a lot of choice in that area that will meet our needs. This should meet our needs nicely. I'll have the group code for the rate in a few days. 2 Queens or King room. Not a ton of savings but $10-$20 a night less. http://www.shiloinns.com/search_results.asp?PI=EDAOR Tenative Schedule June 13th – Kickoff Cocktail hour at The Thirsty Woman 6:00PM Mosier, OR 97040 I-84 W (to the Dalles)- exit 69 (only 45 minutes from Portland) Make a RIGHT at EXIT RAMP STOP SIGN Follow the road towards Historic Highway Route 30+ Post Office Right on MAIN STREET and you are there! [quote]BTW, I may not be in the 914 this year. The Squarsche is almost more fun to drive than the 914. Looks like I'm in for sure. The Dalles Inn is dog friendly even has a pug on the front page, just incase the Shillo inn won't accmodate. I'll figure something out to keep the wife and Pups busy this time so I can go out and play (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Rich, you need to make this. I went to the last one unemployed. TC wants you to smell his pugs. No excuses. And bring Troy. Speaking of excuses... But if you make him take showers he won't smell too bad.

I'm booked!!!!
For some reason the girl taking the reservation didn't know anything about the 914 world or Porsche event, hope I booked the right place ???? I requested a lower room facing the pool, looks like a good place to relax after rambling all day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) I am still thinking of the RV but the wife may need something to drive if I leave her behind (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) |

just heard (via email) that we can share Oregon Raceway park the weekend of June 14 with another club!!!! Once I know the exact details and cost, I'll post them here.
I believe that it is the ORP club and they stepped up and committed to that weekend knowing that we had reserved rooms in the gorge. I will definitely have the zonk ready! ( maybe even the polizei fake!) |

Going to try hard to have my car back together by then and make it there. The Dalles is probaby about 300 miles from Moscow and would be the perfect shakedown cruise. |
