When I did a search and moved my mouse around on the list, small pictures were piopping up. sexy singles, mugshot, WTF

Does my computer have a virus?
This has never happend before

it only happens when i do a search on the forum. certain words are underlined and if you scroll over them ads pop up. Cars, taxes, all kinds of stuff.

Weird.

I will run another virus scan.

Its a virus.

Some kind of toolbar.

Try looking at your toolbars and disabling everything you don't recognize.

The only 'highlight' you should see when doing a search is the yellow background in the result that matches your search words.

I just cleaned my Computer & everything is OK. The were words that were underlined ( like the word Pictures on the picture thread) that when your mouse moved over them it would show an advertisement

If you run Google Chrome or Google Tool bar it has a thing called Google ads where it will do searches on words and bring up ads for them.

I have noticed lately that when you are notified of a Flash or Java update, the install manager "asks" you if you want to install the xxx.com toolbar or the mcaf** virus checker. You have to uncheck the box to not have these loaded with your updates.

I hate damn near all software these days. It is getting to the point that you will actually need to read the agreement before you click "agree".
