I am trying to publish my web page and it is not working right on the net. The address is http://home.mindspring.com/~tooltime1/.

How do I get it to default to the Home page instead of the index?

I designed the page to operate from the main frame page, but that page will not operate on its own. Supposed to open with frames.

I also can't get any of the pictures for the Projects page or the Customers page to work. It is like it can't find them.

All this stuff worked on my computer when I designed it. It just won't work when I upload it to the net. For some reason all the code has changed around. I am going to bed and will come back and work with it in the morning.

Ok. I'm not a big frames fan. That being said...

- Rename "Main frame.html" to "index.html"
- Fix "Main frame.html". The frameset html is wrong.
- http://home.mindspring.com/~tooltime1/My%2...20Pictures/914/ is where you're pointing the images for your customers.html file, not http://home.mindspring.com/~tooltime1/

What program did you use to design it?

I am not a big frames fan either but that is what is required for this class. Yeah I saw the code is all wrong. I built this in Mozilla Composer and notepad. Wish I had had something a little better to work with.

Alright it works now but it always opens to the directory page. How do I make it default to the index.html without just including it in the link?

you're gonna need to if it doesn't do it by itself.

Thanks I just fixed that. What do you mean "if it doesn't do it itself"?

when you have a subdomain setup like paul.moronthrottle.com the default file is index.htm(l) it looks like the webspace they set up for you isn't set as a true subdomain, so you need to add that to your link.

yes, you have to find out what your ISP requires the name for the main index file to be ...

if he's using Windows, the main index file name could be (in that order):

Default.htm
Default.asp
Default.aspx
Default.html
Index.htm
Index.asp
Index.html

try renaming your main index file to those names and see if it works!
