There is a picture of the alien in the rain on that same corner with the bridge in the back ground. I just looked for it but couldn't find it - it is AWESOME.

I don't want to come across as putting down anyone's photos, but for me what really makes the photo is the framing. I really like the original precisely because it has the wider view which shows the trees and such (plus I love the lights on the pavement). I also like the shot of the Alien, because its tight framing shows off the car so well (and the close zoom lets me see the water dropplets on the car). Of course, I don't think there is such a thing as a bad photo of a 914, although there are photos of bad 914s!

Ernie, you aren't putting down anyone's photos. I was the only fool to stand in the rain for 30 minutes photographing everyone's car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Doesn't seem foolish to me. I've done similar things. Besides, we all own 914s so there's something foolish perhaps in all of us! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Sean, I meant to thank you for the great photos (I saved them all) and to thank you for putting on a great event. That poker run test was harder than Chinese arithmetic though. How do I get a printed copy of this picture? Thanks again, Robby.

Robby,
you can Click Here OFoto will print it for you. An 8x10 is $3.95 or you can get it poster sized. The image is large enough to do a 20x30 poster. If you order from them becare of the Zoom & Trim button. It automatically is on by default. There are two versions of the pic - 1 cropped and 1 just as you see it at the top of the page. How about a MUSR pic... I know it's not a "classic" event or anything...

QUOTE The only thing that would have been nicer, is if it wasnt raining. I was told years ago that most car ads, glamor shots and the like use wet pavement. Without it the car looks like it's floating in the picture. I don't know if it's because wet pavement looks darker or the reflection seems to set the image of the car in the photo. Sure enough, though, most car ads on TV are shot on wet pavement. That is a nice shot Sean. Of course, Robby's car being nearly the same color as mine makes it an easy choice for wallpaper. Have to do something about those black bumpers, though. |

Crop it and make it look worthy of the car. It looks really good. We must show the world that a 914 can operate in the rain!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

The pic of the Alien really looks great, but the first blue one in the rain captures the time of year and works well for a opening page. It's got my vote.
