Just got my deep sump from aircooled.

I'm trying to solve my oil starvation problem. In looking at the screen that goes in the sump, seems like the design of the screen plate may impede or slow down oil available to the pickup.

Would it be a bad idea to leave the screen out? There is an external filter in the system.

Slightly OT -- can you post some pictures of the sump & screen?

Toss the screen. When you run this dry sump I would not run any more than the stock amount of oil. There is no reason for it. One problem I see with that mounting system is the mounting "strap" goes across the main oil feed for the deep sump. The proper way to mount a deep sump is to machine it for a mounting system like the beetles and then mount that way.
