Oh, I should probably do that - door jamb sticker on my -6 is nowhere to be seen. Guess I'll need to scare up the actual month of manufacture though...

Andy: Thank you for doing this, I'll send along an order soon as I can get the info.

We are cutting now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I also got the die cut to where I think its spot on to the factory cut. It is cut all the way thru and will ship with transfer tape for application. This last tweak really made me happy with the final product

I guess I finally have to get off my ass and order the Certificate of Authenticity for my car, unless somebody's got a better method to determine the month of manufacture when the original VIN sticker and any paperwork more than 10 years old is missing...

PCNA COA instructions + form are here.

What are you looking for? date of manufacture. if so you can use the VIN database and look at VINs before and after yours and might get your answer. I did that since my COA didn't list that info.

That's an idea, I suppose. Checking the VIN DB I'm not seeing any info on month of manufacture for the nearby entries. I suppose I could guess based on how close it is to the turnover from 043 to 143, but then you've got to work from the summer production change-over after August, right? Feh - COA is pricey, but what the hell, it's got a logo on it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Edit: I do see a manufacture date of 1-July-1970 for 2665, but that's quite a gap from 2486...

Your #2486 falls between my #2347 6/70 BD and #2526 6/70 BD. According to the VIN DB the 6/70 build dates and the 7/70 build dates falls between #2526 6/70 BD and # 2567 7/70 BD. This would make your #2486 a 6/70 BD 914-6.

This is what I had to do along with some PM's to owner that didnt add the BD to the VIN database. Remember your $100 COA may not include everything your looking for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Andy, just received my decals in today's mail. They are more delicate than I thought they would be. I think I was expecting something less detailed but you have exceeded my expectations. They're perfect. Thanks for taking the time to do us all a big favor.

Thanks, we worked hard to get it right and this reminds me, Here are some tips for installation

Remember to cut the corners following the outline on the decal.
Degrease the area well and make sure its completely dry.
Use something ridged like a credit card to apply the decal and work out any air bubbles
Once decal on in place slowly pull transfer tape off at a sharp angle
