Here is the Badge that I bought from Michael that is on my Carrera. The Enamel was chipping so Michael gave me another Badge at N/C. I then Bead-Blasted the Badge (except the ADAC parts), Powder-Coated it Silver & put it on

I still have one of these old ones:

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i944.photobucket.com-1413-1354484064.1.jpg)

I may place it on the rear trunk panel.
Opposite the 914 emblem.

I'll probably just keep it in my pile of things.

I do want to modify my '914 2.0' to read '914 2.6', though

Now this is a group buy that I could totally get behind. Replace "club" with "world" and add the "VW Globe" part of the logo, and that's a slam dunk AFAIC.

EDIT -- "Kurvenmeister" doesn't do it for me though. Mock German isn't as cool as real German. How about, "Schnell Schön Klassisch" instead?

Bump.

Seriously, what's involved in making something like this happen? I've spent a great deal of time in Germany, and half the cars there have interesting grill badges. I would much rather have a grill badge that actually means something to me than one from some random car event that happened when I was still watching Bugs Bunny.

Let's make a new badge that won't fade in the sun. I'm down for one, totally.

Does anyone have a 3D printer so we could make a prototype 914world badge?

I would say the ideal badge would be the "gear shaped" badge featured in the pictures a few posts up this thread.

Replace the Lemans stuff with the "world on it's axis" graphic. Put the 914 silhouette at the bottom third (like the 914 club did), and then put a Porsche crest on it. Spell 914 world at the top of the rim, and a slogan of some sort on the bottom. (I'm against "kurvenmeister.")

That'd look great. Black/yellow/red color scheme, naturally.

Allright! Got my badge in the mail (see attached pic - not the exact same year, but I figure it's period correct enough). Any tricks to attaching these? I am assuming that step #1 is to remove the rain tray. Thanks
