Thinking about buying this:

http://youngstown.craigslist.org/cto/3392885228.html

Trying to find out what kind of motor it is 1.7,1.8, 2.0

After spending a couple of hours searching the web and comparing to 914 engines shown to the photos I give up. Can anyone be of help here just by looking at the pictures.

The current owner submitted the following pictures to me yesterday but they might be of much help. Asked him to provide me with a number but don't think he was to able to find it even though I provided him with a detailed location. The car is in a barn and the guy is just not into cars - don't think he is trying to hide anything - can you help ? Before I spend 5 hours going to Mercer. Would prefer 2.0 just my preference but being a newbie to the 914 I* might be all wrong what is your opinion.

Airbox, air filter, oil filler. Dead giveaways. 1.8.
