It would be a 1.7 and a borg/warner auto. They are actually a pretty good trans, better than the semi auto that were in type ones.
No idea if the diff can be flipped, my guess is "no" or we would have seen it in a 914 or mid-engine trike.
The 411 may have bee a sales failure, but it gave us the type 4.

The ad says "VW auto". Doesn't say what VW it came out of, though. If it's a Jetta or similar longitudinal FWD car, then everything would spin the right way.

The Audi auto trans conversion that we've seen here is from just such a car. And Audi/VW...
