business volume of Porsche reach 7,8 Milliards Euro now.
Management have planed to reduce working time for labours about 1 hour without
salary reduction.
Working time will become 35 hours by week now.
Engineers not, they keep their 40 hours work contract.

Sounds like they are trying to attract good workers, and are bending over to attract them. There has been a demographic shift in lifestyles and work ethics, so they are being pro-active. Time will tell how well this works out.......

Wasn't the production line work week reduced from 40 to 36 hours a few years ago? I read an article that stated moral improved dramatically and quality went up as well. Don't they also have a vacation from July through August?

Vacation time is 30 days by year.

35 hours by week, 30 days off (+statutory holidays) 11 last year.

A lot of time to spend with your family or with your 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
