business volume of Porsche reach 7,8 Milliards Euro now.
Management have planed to reduce working time for labours about 1 hour without salary reduction. Working time will become 35 hours by week now. Engineers not, they keep their 40 hours work contract. |

Sounds like they are trying to attract good workers, and are bending over to attract them. There has been a demographic shift in lifestyles and work ethics, so they are being pro-active. Time will tell how well this works out.......

Wasn't the production line work week reduced from 40 to 36 hours a few years ago? I read an article that stated moral improved dramatically and quality went up as well. Don't they also have a vacation from July through August?

Don't they also have a vacation from July through August? Vacation time is 30 days by year. 35 hours by week, 30 days off (+statutory holidays) 11 last year. A lot of time to spend with your family or with your 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
