Now I have a round old metal cap with vw on it.

What was stock on these cars? I want to get a new cap; preferably on with a Porsche crest. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I look on ebay and see nothing. Is a 911 cap the same?

This is the stock early (1970-74) filler cap. It has patina! They were not produced with a crest. Vintage! and only $5 + shipping! Let me know if interested...

The later caps do not have the VW logo. VW Thing used the same cap as the 914.

How do you uncrimp the cap to disassemble the internal rubber seals before sending to the platers .
