1) are stock 2 liter pistons dished?
1.5) 2 liter pistons are 93mm, correct? 2) how do I tell a bus 2 liter head from a 914 2 liter head? Are there additional ports in the head? 3) what are the valve sizes in a the 2 liter head? TIA |

1) not positive, but yes? For some reason I thought bus pistons were dished.
1.5) I think they are 94mm 2) 3 bolt intake pattern...and casting numbers. 3) 42 x36 mm valves Hope that helps. Someone else will surely chime in and correct me and give you more detailed info. |

Slightly dished (unless they're euro)
94mm Three intake manifolds studs. '75/'76 have air injection ports in the exhaust 42m intake, 36mm exhaust EDIT: You beat me to it, Mike |

I've never even owned a 2 Liter! Thanks for the confirmation that I'm not losing my memory......completely that is! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

US 2.0 pistons were dished. The original Euro-spec 2.0 pistons were also dished, but had a different (smaller) dish. Later European-spec 2.0 pistons were not, and are often called flat-topped.
The 2.0 Bus pistons had a larger dish. --DD |

Regardless, from what I can find the 914 had a 7 cc dish and the bus had a 12 cc dish. What they failed to mention is that 2.0L Bus heads have 4 intake mounting studs, just like the 1.7/1.8 and carry part number 022 101 372G. 2.0L 914 heads carry part number 039 101 371A. |
