Hey guys, happy holidays (IMG:style_emoticons/default/santa_smiley.gif)

My niece is in Indio working for the winter and has developed a problem with her mid to late 90's Golf. Right now she is at her relatives in Phoenix til wednesday.

Could anyone recomemnd a reliable/trustworthy mechanic she can go to. I dont want her, a girl in her early 20's, to be taken advantage of.

Thanks a bunch

Conrad

Close to Indio, is L&L Automotive in Palm Desert. They would be my first call although they are better with American cars. (760) 776-5000.

Sometimes i am a little astonished, reading questions like this.
Is a good mechnic not able to work on any car ?

Is this a rare specie in the states same as in germany ?

A vew weeks ago, a desperade customer came to our private workshop
with a big problem on his Chrysler PT Cruiser.
The car doesn't start, and he told us, that he has been at 3 diffrent workshop
to fix this problem. Without result.
Only money lost.

We towed the car to our workshop......
We need a download of the wiring diagramm from the internet and aprox.
1,5 h of working time to fix the probem.
(Broken wire of the FI system)

We never worked on a PT before, but no problem.

Seems , that german an us Workshops most same, (not all) only able to change oil and brake pads. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My friend have an education by mercedes, i have one in by an independent
workshop.

However, now we have one sadisfied customer more.

Last times i tried to work on bigger machines like this in the emirates.
Now back in germany.
