400322528741...
that is the number to a rear Luggage Rack..
most sell here for 50.00 to 100.00 max used..
I will admit I am one here looking for those 'Uber Bargains'..
although sometimes 'the evil' is a great source..
seems to have grown too big for itz britches..
wayyyyy too many parts, and stuff for MG's mercedes etc..
they say will fit..and have nothing AT ALL to do with our
914's..!! Been burned a few times with that stupid fit application chart!!
I have not been on, (evil) in close to a year..it just keeps getting worse and worse,
to the any and all parts will fit your 914 cha cha..and the usuall suspects asking a pound of flesh for their parts....years ago in the beginning..it was awesome..
now a 130,000mile 75 1.8 for 14,000.00$..!!?? we hope they get it as our cars will scream up in value..but it goes the other way too...newbies sayin ..Hmmmm
maybe a Miata..or??point is the rookies, selling parts and cars, has gotten 'Uber Overload'...or the one that just got kicked off of here..that seems to do a name change..and squeak back under the wire to re sell parts...(BTW..got 20 NOS lug bolt caps..16 were used)..guess I am venting...as evil bay cannot police these now 14,000 items plus on the 914 sales arena..(years ago it was 600 to 700 total parts cars memorabilia etc...)That is why it works out well here....for the most part we are drivers...and the 'checks and balances' are a plus here..
soooo to end my 'Rant'....the luggage rack is at $399.99.00 with free pitting
and rust spots!!..'Nuff Said'..!!

I saw where someone is selling a pretty crapping looking 2.0 and tranny for $4,650! Only one photo. No guarantee it even runs!

Yes, but it boasts a FREE PALLET! If that doesn't sweeten the deal, I don't know what would.

I first joined ebay on 3-14-99. That was the earl days when it was mostly regular people selling off excess clutter, antiques, etc. It wasn't long before the "How I made a Million Dollars Selling on Ebay" crap started and the businesses of selling on ebay started up.

You can still find some real deals by real people on there. You just have to wade through the hundreds (or thousands) of crap listings to find the gems.

Apparently the seller has a rare model of phone that can only take one picture. And perhaps this seller also has some kind of punctuation dyslexia that confuses their mind where to put periods and decimals.

On the other hand, I have a several derelict engines in my garage that perhaps I can sell on eBay for thousands of dollars. Perhaps I should enlist their help to make my own ad. But I'll need to borrow that one-shot camera.

For that kind of money, I could fund a Subi conversion (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Maybe the pallet is one of those really nice oak ones (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

"This is a deal at this price. I encourage you to come see it in person; I am in the 16000 zip code" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
This is a clear picture of what I am ranting about... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
But I guess I Made A Huge mistake in buying an entire 75 2.0
complete for three grand..
I should have started with the tranny and engine first,
then bought the luggage rack next.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)
BTW I have LOVED all of your replies...
thanx much for the new year cheer..!!
