GingerMan is having an open track day this Saturday with the great weather that is forecast
When was the last time you can remember being able to drive a track in Michigan during January !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

be careful of winter track days.
I spent a hundred hours building a 944turbo pca club racer for a friend.

he went to a free track appreciation day in january a few years ago
it was a nice warm sunny day

only the Hoosiers tires don't respond the same to 45ambient as they do to 100 ambient.

he was being careful and had warmed the tires up for many laps
still when the rear end twitched in a tight corner, the hoosiers didn't re-grip they way they would have in july.

car went into a cement wall...
he walked away, but the car was totaled

I had found the car, helped buy the car, put the cage in, built the suspension, put the seats, belts, and nets in... gone in 3 seconds
it wasn't my money, but a waste of a lot of hours.

I just got notice of one this WE here at Pacific Raceways (formally SIR) in KENT WA
Had the same reaction (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
(BTW is about 30 degrees here in the PNW)
